Wisconsin Lutheran Prevails over Concordia

Wisconsin Lutheran Prevails over Concordia

By: Alex Patt

Milwaukee, Wisconsin. For the first time since October, the Concordia Cougars played away from home as they went up to Wisconsin to take on Wisconsin Lutheran. The Cougars kept the game close through most of the first half but fell to Wisconsin Lutheran by a score of 35-13. Concordia has fallen to 2-7 and WL improved to 4-5 on the season.

The Cougars scored first on a 65 yard pass from QB Rob Granquist to Leroy Bridges at the 7:09 mark of the first quarter. Wisconsin Lutheran scored 21 unanswered points until the Cougars answered back with a Jakari Cammon 9 yard touchdown at the 1:51 mark of the second quarter.

Despite good defensive work from Concordia, only allowing a fourth-quarter touchdown to ML, they could not get back on the board resulting in the 35-13 final.

Rob Granquist had a solid day with 246 yards and a TD pass, Leroy Bridges led the way with receiving yards at 95 and Jakari Cammon led the way in rushing with 123 yards and a TD.

Next week the Cougars will be in Rockford to wrap up the 2015 football season.
