On October 31, 2019, the Concordia University Chicago’s College of Business (COB) celebrated the day with an open house. The whole hall was decorated in Halloween decorations. With fake spider webs covering the ceiling, spooky music, scary movies, and costumes on top of costumes, the COB was showcasing the Halloween spirit. From 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. the festivities were celebrated by students, staff, and professors.
Not only did everyone celebrate the day, they completely pushed aside the fact that there was a snow storm occurring simultaneously. As many people have been saying, Chicago was dressed up for the holiday as well. Chicago was dressed as January. But the weather did not stop anyone from having a good time and laughing together. Instead, laughs were exchanged and lifelong memories were made.
Overall, the event was a success that shared a great time and lots of candy that will most likely not run out until next Halloween. However, looking forward, the Christmas spirit has begun to rumble early on, as the snow makes students feel festive.
