The purpose of this student group shall be to serve the CUC community by publishing news articles, opinion pieces, and multimedia content to keep the community informed. The Spectator aims to hold itself to the same standards as professional journalistic organizations, adhering to the SPJ’s Code of Ethics and taking accuracy, objectivity, and independence incredibly seriously. It will function as a professional newsroom would, celebrating CUC’s successes and holding CUC accountable when it needs to do better, embodying the values of truth, freedom, and vocation.
