Thursday September 8th was the opening game of the NFL season and Concordia was in full support. CUC Dinning Services arranged for a keg full of Root Beer to be placed downstairs on a table with raffle items donated by Pepsi. They also, arranged for Mountain Dew to bring in their virtual reality equipment for students to enjoy. Big Cats Smash N Shake had a special football menu for the night with 6 wings for $6, fried mushrooms, fried zucchini, nachos, and Root Beer floats.

The Root Beer floats were purchased from Big Cats and the cup they gave you was a plastic Pepsi cup you got to keep. After you finished your float you could get free refills from the fountain drink machine. Through out the night raffle numbers were called and Pepsi can cozies, Mountain Dew T-Shirts, and Gatorade T-Shirts.

There was a mishap with the cable going out, but with the help of Cougarnet were able to watch the game through a computer.
