The Chicago-turned Seattle-based company is famous for their tight lipped demeanor when it comes to releasing information about upcoming titles.  However, Game Informer has released a 10 page reflection after their exclusive hands on opportunity with Rise of Iron.  Throughout the month of August Game Informer has been slowly releasing information regarding new activities for players to enjoy and so far it seems that Bungie won’t disappoint.

Destiny was released on September 9, 2014 and was met with a wide range of reactions.  Some players felt that content was cut and the version of Destiny at release was lackluster and not at all what Bungie had promised.  Others felt that Destiny was one of the greatest games to be released.  As of November 2015 over 25 million players have logged over 100 hours apiece.

Whichever side of the fence you fall on one thing is clear, Destiny isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.  This is made even clearer with Rise of Iron set to release in just 3 short weeks.

Destiny has been criticized by players as not having enough end game activities, Bungie appears to be trying to remedy that issue.  Building off of the success of other end game activities one of the new modes is a crossover between the successful Court of Oryx and Prison of Elders called Archon’s Forge.  Archon’s Forge pits a team of up to 3 players against wave after wave of increasingly difficult opponents for a chance to win top tier gear.

Rise of Iron will also be host to a new raid, which will pit a team of 6 players against Destiny’s hardest enemies for a chance at unique high end gear.

Rise of Iron is set to release September 20th and is available for preorder.
