March 12, 2020- After a 1-1 day, the lady Cougars had another half day to themselves in beautiful Clermont, Florida. The team’s day began with a short, but quality practice in Clermont. The team worked on “the little things,” which is something they had been focusing on. Concordia University Chicago (CUC) softball also had some fun at practice, playing a version of softball, but with no bat.

After getting their reps in for the day and grabbing a bite to eat, the lady Cougars were surprised when they found themselves at a citrus farm. The team passed the farm every day on their way to their games, so Coach Sarah O’Malley-Fisher figured it was a great day to stop and check it out! The Cougar softball team enjoyed feeding animals such as ostriches, as well as viewing the kangaroos and goats. After walking around the farm for some time, the Cougars found some perfect spots for photos. What a great start to their off day!

Later in the day, some of the lady cougars went back to theme parks, some went to the beach, and others just took the day to relax! Arriving back at the resort by 10 p.m., the Cougars had to get some rest for the next, and final, day of games. Was the off day beneficial for the lady Cougars? Find out soon!
