Do you like poetry, short stories, essays, short plays, photography, artwork, or musical compositions? If so, you should try submitting your work for publication through Concordia University Chicago. They have an annual creative arts journal called Motif.

This journal began publication in 1960, under the leadership of English professors Henry Lettermann and F. S. Janzow. Now, English Professor Dr. David Rogner serves as the current editor.

Each spring CUC students are able to submit their creative work for publication. Motif will not publish anonymous work, so make sure to include your name and a title for each work. You also need to have submissions no longer than 2,500 words. Work submitted to the Motif will be selected and evaluated by an editorial committee.

Submit text or image files of your work electronically to motif@cuchicago.edu.

This year the deadline is Monday, February 26
