On Wednesday March 16th, Concordia held its annual student art show. Encompassing Classes such as 2D, 3D, Drawing, Figure Drawing, Digital Photography, Ceramics, Fiber, Painting, Printmaking, Graphic Design, Book Arts, and jewelry class. The show was featured in the Ferguson Gallery located in Krentzman. The show comes to a close on April 4th, so take a stroll over before we say adieu.

When asked about the show professor Nikkole Huss had this to say,

“Works are from spring & fall 2015 and spring 2016. Professors’ invite students who they feel have created show worthy works of art. Many students are not art majors or minors but students who happened to take a class outside of their chosen field. This show is a true example of what a liberal arts university is all about and how it can  inspire individuals to think outside of their comfort zone and discover hidden potential and passion.  This show also has a special section highlighting work from three Senior Art Minor’s, Jessica Anderson, Katarina Bowles and Laura Sprudzs as they will be graduating in May.”

The students work all semester on their art, which is seen in the show. The hard work and dedication is very easily spotted in the gallery. Though there is no specific theme amongst the art, the drive and Intricacies within each piece is obvious in each artwork.

If you are interested in taking any of the classes listed above all you have to do is talk to your academic advisor.  All or most of the classes will be available in the fall or spring.
