River Forest, IL. It was a gloomy Saturday afternoon at Cougars Stadium as the 450 spectators watched the first place Benedictine Eagles (5-2) continue to roll as they defeated Concordia (2-5), 41 – 0.

Benedictine was in control from the start of the game as they took a quick 14-0 lead by the 11:46 mark of the first quarter; both Benedictine drives started after Concordia turnovers. The Eagles had a commanding 28 – 0 lead over the Cougars at half time.

The second half saw Concordia’s defense play a solid game, holding the surging Benedictine offense to 13 points, however the Eagles defense continued to suffocate the Cougars offense and held them completely off the board.

The starting quarter back for the Cougars was Peyton Seidler, who had 118 total yards of offense with 11-20 passing. Rashad Lofton lead the way in receiving yards with 59 and Seidler led in rushing yards with 33.

The Cougars will play their final home game of the 2015 regular season next Saturday vs. Alma College at 2:00pm.
