Lake City, Florida hosted their fourth annual Infinity Con<\/a>, however this year it took place at Florida Gateway Community College instead of at the Lake City Fairgrounds. This year also had Florida Cosplayer Shane Morris, a.k.a. Roadrunner Cosplay<\/a>, as the Ninjetti White Power Ranger, Harry Potter, and the Green Arrow.<\/p>\n

On Friday, March 3, 2017 was the start of the 2017 Infinity Con and Morris had his table set up with photos of his cosplays from Dean Winchester to the Green Arrow, as well as the White Mighty Morphin Power Ranger’s helmet and vest. He was the White Ninjette Mighty Morphin Power Ranger. Morris is also, one of four Florida Ambassadors for Jason David Frank<\/a>, the original Green and White Power Range.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, March 4th he was asked to do a kids superhero storytime as Harry Potter. After a little while he went and changed to become the Arrow, Green Arrow. Morris allowed The Spectator<\/em> to ask\u00a0a few questions about himself and what inspired him to become a cosplayer.<\/p>\n

Q: What made you want to become a cosplayer and how long ago did you start?<\/p>\n

A: I started cosplaying roughly about four years ago and fell into it by accident. I’m a huge geek and always have been into superheroes and comics, but never dressed up. Up until I went to my first con and loved the atmosphere, the community, and the creativity it can spark.<\/p>\n

Q: What is the inspiration for choosing the characters that you cosplay as?<\/p>\n

A: When I decide a character I’m going to cosplay as, I really try to find characters I relate to on some aspect or another. I really enjoy bringing a character to life in a full aspect not just the cosplay attire itself.<\/p>\n

Q: Your father mentioned that you wanted to get more into acting. Are you looking more towards film and television or plays and theater? Is this one of your main goals?<\/p>\n

A: Acting has always been a huge passion of mine and I would love to get onto a Netflix series or television show and eventually transition into the film industry, but acting is my true love and if I can do it in any shape or form I’ll be there.<\/p>\n

Q: What is one of your favorite memory of being a cosplayer at a convention?<\/p>\n

A: One of my favorite memories as being a cosplayer was guesting at a con here in Florida and I had a long time fan come to meet me, when she finally made her way up through the line and said hi she began to cry because she got so nervous and excited, so I sat her down and we talked for a good twenty minutes. Thanking her for just being so supportive to me for being able to do what I do and having people like that in my life.<\/p>\n

Q: What is your favorite memory of just attending a convention?<\/p>\n

A: My personal favorite memory was my first Megacon with my best friend. We cosplayed as Arrow and Deathstroke, we walked into the con floor and got surrounded for 45 minutes, taking pictures in a full 360\u00b0 with cameras everywhere and posing\/fighting. It was absolutely surreal seeing so many people appreciating the hard work we had put into the cosplays.<\/p>\n

Q: What advice can you give to anyone who wants to be a cosplayer?<\/p>\n

A: The best advice I can give to anyone starting cosplaying is find a character you truly love and want to be. Look up any images of that character an always use thrift shops to find good base clothing you can use and alter. Above all just have fun with making your cosplay that’s what it’s all about.<\/p>\n
