They used the Sodexo\u00a0Culinary Center for the dinner and had the area decorated to match the love holiday. The tables had white table clothes, with pink napkins and drinks of water and lemonade.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2610\" src=\"http:\/\/spectator.cuchicago.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/20170214_180342-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/>\u00a0 \u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2609\" src=\"http:\/\/spectator.cuchicago.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/20170214_181101-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The dinner was a combined idea from General Manager Joe Burdi, Executive Chef Olivera Amour, and Retail Catering Manager\u00a0Sofia Quirk. The three had help setting up, serving, and preparing the food by Concordia Dining Services Chef\u00a0Diana Ringo and Veronica Garcia.<\/p>\n<p>The three course dinner started with a Seven Vegetable Tuscan Soup with a Parmesan crisp shaped as a heart. There was also a roasted Garlic, Walnut, and Paprika\u00a0cheese spread to mix in the soup.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2611\" src=\"http:\/\/spectator.cuchicago.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/20170214_182316-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Next was the entr\u00e9e which consisted of a six hour\u00a0slow roasted Short Rib, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Maple Glazed Carrots, and a Carrot rose.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2612\" src=\"http:\/\/spectator.cuchicago.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/20170214_184310-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/>\u00a0 \u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2613\" src=\"http:\/\/spectator.cuchicago.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/20170214_185155-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Last was desert with a simple Cheesecake with a Raspberry sauce drizzled across, a White Chocolate heart placed on top, and a Chocolate dipped Strawberry with White Chocolate drizzled on top.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2614\" src=\"http:\/\/spectator.cuchicago.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/20170214_190331-e1489017344534-169x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"169\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When asked about the idea for the menu and why those choices Burdi explained, &#8220;Seasoning. It&#8217;s all about seasoning.&#8221; Burdi also said, &#8220;we want to have more dinners like this. It is something unique to not only this school, but for colleges to do this on their own.
