As usual, the final round of CIT weekend started\u00a0off with the women\u2019s championship game. The final matchup was between Concordia Nebraska and Concordia Wisconsin; a preview for the men\u2019s championship matchup.<\/p>\n<p>The first half was back and forth as the teams traded points for the most point, as the score was 29-28 in favor of Nebraska at half time. The first half of the third quarter was the same way, both teams traded points until 3:47 mark when Nebraska went on an 11-3 run to close out the third quarter.<\/p>\n<p>Nebraska then closed out the game, outscoring Concordia Wisconsin 23-10 to win the CIT women\u2019s championship by a final of 75-53.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1749\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1749\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/spectator.cuchicago.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/IMG_6830.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1749\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1749\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.cuchicago.edu\/spectator\/files\/2016\/01\/IMG_6830-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"Nebraska's Sydney Feller passes the ball inside during the championship game.\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1749\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Nebraska&#8217;s Sydney Feller passes the ball inside during the championship game.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>What was really impressive about Nebraska was the fact that they never let their foot off the gas pedal and kept playing good basketball despite being up in the 4<sup>th<\/sup> quarter. They shot 60.7% in the second half while Wisconsin only shot 28.6%. Nebraska scored 46 points in the second half, just seven points less than Wisconsin\u2019s total.<\/p>\n<p>While Nebraska had three shooters score more than 12 points, no one on Wisconsin scored over 11 points. The game\u2019s leading scorer was Nebraska\u2019s Quinn Wragge who scored 20 points and shot 63%. The top scorer for Wisconsin was Megan Coenen with 11 points.<\/p>\n<p>This is a three-peat for Nebraska\u2019s women\u2019s team, and their 18<sup>th<\/sup> title since 1996.
