It was a gloomy Saturday afternoon at Cougars Stadium as the 450 spectators watched the first place Benedictine Eagles (5-2) continue to roll as they defeated Concordia (2-5), 41 &#8211; 0.<\/p>\n<p>Benedictine was in control from the start of the game as they took a quick 14-0 lead by the 11:46 mark of the first quarter; both Benedictine drives started\u00a0after Concordia turnovers. The Eagles had a commanding 28 &#8211; 0 lead over the Cougars at half time.<\/p>\n<p>The second half saw Concordia&#8217;s defense play a solid game, holding the surging Benedictine offense to 13 points, however the Eagles defense continued to suffocate the Cougars offense and held them completely off the board.<\/p>\n<p>The starting quarter back for the Cougars was Peyton Seidler, who had 118 total yards of offense with 11-20 passing. Rashad Lofton lead the way in receiving yards with 59 and Seidler led in rushing yards with 33.<\/p>\n<p>The Cougars will play their final home game of the 2015 regular season next Saturday vs. Alma College at 2:00pm.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>River Forest, IL.
