Well if you have, then you are in luck. The student\u00a0government at Concordia known as VOICE has been doing their best to get the\u00a0scholars&#8217; voices heard.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The goal of VOICE is to show students that they can make\u00a0the\u00a0change they want to see and have the ability to make a difference;\u00a0VOICE wants to\u00a0make CUC the best school for the students and staff.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">There are many roles within the Executive Board, including: President, Vice\u00a0President, Treasurer, Student Involvement Officer, Chief Executive Officer, and Secretary.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This year there are a few new names and faces to put in said positions.\u00a0Junior Madison Schulz is the VOICE President, senior Henry\u00a0Garcia is the Vice President, senior Dan Joseph San Buenaventura, is the Treasurer,\u00a0junior Hailey Lindblom is the Student Involvement Officer, senior Alexandra\u00a0Denault-Floyd is the Chief Executive Officer and junior Princess Burch is the Secretary.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Everyone is excited to be a part of VOICE this year and they are hoping to bring\u00a0positive\u00a0changes to the school. VOICE is still looking for more\u00a0students to get involved to help make the desired\u00a0changes a reality.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">President Schulz decided that they were each going to have a project to be\u00a0completed this year. Whether it will include the entire campus or just the exec board.\u00a0Burch had an event that she hosted in the Cougar Den. It was entitled \u201cCougar\u00a0Mingle.\u201d At this event, a number of students\u00a0came and had conversation with\u00a0other in\u00a0a large meet and greet. Everyone seemed to enjoy the\u00a0event and Burch was happy with the success of the event.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">There will be a few more events taking place\u00a0throughout the year so make sure\u00a0to keep your eyes open for them.\u00a0The members of the student government also just recently came up with their\u00a0mission statement;\u00a0\u201cSeek first to serve, then lead others to inspire the change we want to see.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The meaning behind this statement is that VOICE wants the students to know that they\u00a0are using the power they have to serve the students and want them to know that\u00a0their voices are being heard. They then want to inspire the students to go and make changes\u00a0themselves because together everyone can make a difference.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The VOICE offices\u00a0are located on the second floor of the KCC; there are open\u00a0office hours if you want to make an appointment to talk with one of the members.
